To be honest, I think you've bought a wall hanger, or a good project for 5* to have them reproduce the jacket using the original pattern.

Looks like the cotton thread is falling apart. Fix one seam another one will pop. I see at least $600 worth of repairs that need to be done.

I considered that. Melikes it for a wall hanger for a while if so. Looks old to me, I like to check stuff out

I’m over the moon with this jacket. It’s all I love in terms of design packaged in a really pretty burnt orange leather. I hit it with brown URAD to bring back some vibrancy and now the thing just glows. I can’t believe I didn’t seek this style out sooner.

The liner! 1941 & 42 had "fleeced cotton" instead of the plaid or Navy Blue used in the Roughwear jackets.

I found the thread in which you guys discuzsed all this. Youre right. The liner does look like what is likely the 41-42 liner. I'm going to be studying that thread closely until my jacket arrives.

I bought this trashed police jacket. If anyone recognizes make, let me know. Came from a seller on the West Coast.

I thought this jacket looked interesting. The Zipper stop says late 40s early 50s, pre-nylon lining. Unique button cuffs, cut in a sharp angle.

Not a Californian, the pockets are too low, the cuffs. The pocket position seems unique. A Police jacket for sure, badge holder.

Wow! Is this a Top-Notch by Ralphs-Pugh?? I see corduroy on the collar. Amazing jackets! I had the chance to try one at a vintage store. Unfortunately, they knew what they had ($$$), so I left it there. Of course, I placed right the hanger, because of someone's carelessness, who put it backwards, deformed the shoulders.

Yes it is. I didn’t snag it super cheap or anything, but ponied up for a reasonable amount. It’s unlabeled but has some real nice features seen on these RP jackets. Jacket is in good condition. Will post some photos

Nah but I’ll definitely pay up though. However, it must be rare, mint condition and my size.

Quality can be had for cheap. With patience and persistence you can acquire an entire collection on the cheap.

Just got this great condition 50’s Guide Master last weekend for $175 at a flea market.

40’s HD Cycle Champ I got a while back for $150. It was huge so I traded with a buddy.

Late 50’s HD for $75

50’s Penney’s for $125

30’s goatskin HB for around $100
