@Will Zach has come up with a source for Riri zippers. Their largest is the #8, but that ought to be strong enough for the Aero leather jackes that have the weak #5 that is prone to failure.

I'm looking for one to go on a modern #5 repro. Bought a bunch of 30s and 40s Talons but unfortunately they do not fit on the repro #5.

I have a brass one exactly like that from Photo2u. He's got a bunch of them. You may have to dye the tape to your color of choice.
Can the NOS pull work on the repro zip? I've never tried. If this works I am swapping all my repro talons out like what you're doing.

I just remembered Regius may have some too. In the silver color. Check with him too.
