How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

[tmitchell59]

Another related Appalachian!!!!! I'll bet there's plenty of "SHINE at that family reuniion!!!!

This one is a long lost oldest brother, born around 1947. No one knew he was alive. He has some stories to tell about the early post-war motorcycle boom. He was there!!

He just came into town. He will be coming out soon

I dig the two upper pockets, reminds me of the Cat's Eye jacket. Looks like a square ended Talon pull with Talon down the middle of the stop. Looks like post war 1940s.

That's exactly what I thought too (regarding the Cat Eyes look). I didn't have a chance to look close at the zipper but the Seller says its original. The Seller said it was a late 40s jacket but Sellers are routinely off on dating so your expertise on that zipper date is a welcome piece of well informed judgment. I was preliminarily using the the look of the liner fabric to sorta date it. The texture of the liner reminds me of the liner texture in the Seattle Woolen police jackets. Almost like a cotton looking fabric that predated some of the blends and man made fabrics like Nylon.

JL arrived. Off the rack size 40; there is some but little I would have done differently on a custom order.

Improved "tucked in shirt" shot to demonstrate the jacket is not too short, it goes way past the belt.

Really cool jacket and the fit look perfect!

[jacketjunkie]

Fits you like a custom jacket. Well done. What's their code name for this pattern? There is no side gussets right?

Thank you! Guess one of the advantages of being in the game for so long is that you have your numbers dialed down at some point and know what fits and what doesn't.

The code name for this pattern is Alt-43. It has no side panels. Very minimalistic design. It has very slim sleeves. I am reasonably athletic but I don't go to the gym and yet the sleeves are so tight in the biceps area that I am not sure if I can fit a sweatshirt under the jacket. That's pretty much the only thing I would change if I was to custom-order.

Just ordered this Aero RAF Coastal Command which has been on my list for 6 or 7 years now. However based on @John Lever 's review/recommendations I've ordered it in their superior RAF Russet Pebbled Grain Merino plus seal jerky HH trim. Also @MrProper influenced my with his pics (in a positive way) as pics of the Coastal Command are still rare on the Internet.

I'll receive it in November and will make a review then. As Aero now deducts their VAT for customers outside of UK and as they offer a 10% discount because of their new website, I've decided to order my first Aero jacket since Brexit.

Russet Pebbled Grain Merino

Cheers,
Robbie

I love it! CXL horse, I take it?!

Only thing I would improve is that thing with nthe Bermudas. No shorts on a guy over 30 (safe for beach and sports).

It should look like this. @John Lever I hope you don't mind that I copied + pasted it as Aero doesn't have as good pics as you made of this Merino

CLX HH, yes. It's hard to capture the real color, it really changes from brown to very reddish depending on the light, just as my Aero CLX HH Teamster would. The jacket certainly defies tonys claim that clx is uncomfortable. It's all a question of patterns and right size.

Here are a couple of fit pics of the '35 Werber B3. Also one with the pig-dog for good measure.

[Bonasera]

A beautiful Ralphs-pugh!!!!!

Thanks. I found the D pocket at last.

[Bonasera]

omg!! Where did you find that?

I found this at a vintage clothing shop in Japan.
I'll post more pics of this jacket.

Wow, amazing jacket and great fit, congrats!

How does the dog like the fact that you're wearing the same colors as him?

New thread idea: Over 50 and wearing shorts with our jackets.

Its been a long and very hot summer in my neck of the world, and our office building has no aircon. Dressing discipline deteriorated to an extent that at one point I thought they must have build an outdoor pool on the premises for all the shorts and tank-tops I spotted...

Awesome!!!!! So glad your employer and co-workers are so reasonable.

I got a buddy that works for Coca Cola Latin America and he lives in San Jose, Costa Rica. But he is required to wear a suit pretty much every day. He says he can't believe it. His building does have A/C but when he arrives at work, he says he's already totally sweating. He says he's Wet and Dry over and over in a day from Shower---to commute---to working in the office---to Lunch----to commute home. I'm like---well at least you live at the beach!! He says, "WRONG!!!! San Jose is 3 hours drive to the coast."

The HD road king came today. The leather is not premium, but for the price and name brand, is a good value. However, Just to process the order it took them 12 days. Not a well-oiled machine. Having read their story, the Davidsons will be very frustrated with the company's current practices.

CHECKING THE PACKAGE:

SECOND OPINION

:

CAN IMPROVE BIG TIME:

During normal business hours, I contacted Vanson for a sleeve repair. I got an answering service saying they are not taking any calls and to leave a message. I e-mailed them instead. Let's see how long it takes for a response.
