How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Yes, this is the only shortcoming. I have not paid attention to specify the dimensions for this. And so it is then unfortunately left to chance.
But I'm not bothered by it, because I like the jacket otherwise very well and everything else was kept top.

Doesn't really matter. I notice it because I noticed it on many old-ish US jackets, too so it's okay. Fantastic fitting jacket in any case and really good looking sheepskin!

I hadn't noticed the California Chrome Tanned on the label, I love the details. I noticed that the main zipper pull seems to be aluminum, while the bottom zipper stop and zipper seem brass. Could have been a repair?
The new lining looks really good compared to the old one.

Parts are parts on the zipper. Just what they had in the bin. They look original parts from the 50s.

So this jacket came in yesterday. And also went right back out again. There were significant areas of damage not visible in the ebay photos. Requested a return and the seller agreed once they saw the photos I took. It was curious damage, but all from wearing the jacket. It was quite dirty inside & out too. It was too bad, as what remained of the original leather was really quite nice, and had a lot of grain & character.

The sleeve ends had significant damage -

There was a hole in the LH arm action back area:

And the inside facing of the collar needs repair/re-working -

Also the main zipper needed replaced, which I knew about.

At least this jacket shows to have been very heavily worn throughout its life. With someone who really loves the pattern, it could probably be re-worked and preserved.
Never understood how on earth the sleeve ends bust open like that. That thing is toast.

I recall hearing that on many old US men's work jackets that exterior upper pocket was meant to hold a packet of cigarettes. The interior "pocket bag" dimensions of older coats I've handled also suggests this. Consequently the pocket may have been placed a bit higher than what would seem balanced simply to keep a softpack of smokes from getting crushed in the bending & twisting of labor [hardpack cigarettes being a later invention].

Same principal would apply if the pocket was meant to hold a pair of eyeglasses.

So this great d pocket racer came in from @AeroFan_07 today. Incredible leather - heavy, pliable, interesting grain but with a smooth almost waxy hand feel.

Surely a better fit for me than it was for him, but still felt a bit off. Longer in the sleeves and wider in the hem than I’d like for the length. Moving it on to another member but did take a few pics to share (with good angles to help), it’s really a cool piece.

Man, that is a good looking jacket!
I would’ve been very happy with that fit, but I see what you mean about the hem and the sleeves. Kudos to you for realizing right away that it wasn’t the one and moving it on.

Too bad, I think the jacket is very becoming to you as it is. But there is nothing you can do. If it does not fit personally, then it just does not fit.

@Salmosalar Congrats - another piece of art from Thedi. Fit pics? Looks quite similar to the LW Roadhouse but IMO the Thedi version looks much nicer, especially with the nice shearling collar. Maybe I should contact Thedi after selling my LW Roadhouse....
