How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Just got this beautiful G1 in from eBay. This is the seller's photo as I neglected to take any prior to dumping it at the cleaners to get the musty smell out.

Just got the Californian back from Dena and it is pretty darn nice with a spanking clean new lining, inside pocket, new hand warmer pocket pouches, and cuff buttons, trying to keep to the original design as much as possible.
Wanted to take it in as the P to P is a bit large, but no can do. Did manage to squeeze a bit more length in the sleeves.

For me a perfect fit vintage probably isn't going to happen, but this fits good enough for me.

I can't recall this one. Another California Chrome Tanned Steerhide half-belt by California Sportswear. I think it is a great fit vintage or new.

I see the graining of the Grain. I still have one of these Chromies that is pretty unworn.

I'm thinking this Chrome Tanned label is late 50s.

I hadn't noticed the California Chrome Tanned on the label, I love the details. I noticed that the main zipper pull seems to be aluminum, while the bottom zipper stop and zipper seem brass. Could have been a repair?
The new lining looks really good compared to the old one.

So this is a change of pace for me. Early Vanson CR with "1" piece back w/kidney panel. Not free but not expensive either. Bought mostly as it is old-school Vanson Comp weight that appears to be in good, well broken in, grainy shape here. It's a "42" so rolling the dice if it will fit or not. Will need a new, main zip, unless Dena can repair the existing one (looks possible??)

Wil llikey get dunked in the bathtub or run on gentle cycle in washing machine - but has anyone tried this with Competition weight leather yet? How does it hold up? Or I'll let Dena do the full restoration. The back looks awesome to me, and I am very excited to recieve it soon!

So this jacket came in yesterday. And also went right back out again. There were significant areas of damage not visible in the ebay photos. Requested a return and the seller agreed once they saw the photos I took. It was curious damage, but all from wearing the jacket. It was quite dirty inside & out too. It was too bad, as what remained of the original leather was really quite nice, and had a lot of grain & character.

The sleeve ends had significant damage -

There was a hole in the LH arm action back area:

And the inside facing of the collar needs repair/re-working -

Also the main zipper needed replaced, which I knew about.

At least this jacket shows to have been very heavily worn throughout its life. With someone who really loves the pattern, it could probably be re-worked and preserved.

I really like, just don't understand why the pocket is so high. But otherwise, 5*'s most impressive work by date, IMO.
Yes, this is the only shortcoming. I have not paid attention to specify the dimensions for this. And so it is then unfortunately left to chance.
But I'm not bothered by it, because I like the jacket otherwise very well and everything else was kept top.

That’s were they set the chest pocket on my last heavy HB. It’s a tough measurement to call out. This is where the design team at five star needs to learn, and become more intuitive with stuff like that. I agree the jacket looks absolutely superb otherwise. Beautiful shearling, perfect fit!
