Ordered this Stratoliner Premier Royal Deluxe back in April, it finally arrived today. I can easily see how this is much better quality than the 3X Open Road I recently purchased.

The pecan VS needed to be worn today, heat be damned. A quick ride to run the truck through the car wash before driving up to Dallas tomorrow morning. The stunning color of this hat amazes me each time I pick it up, photos do not do it justice.

Thanks WK. I use a cheap Nikon camera. It does seem to have pretty good image stabilization. Which helps a lot with my shaky hand.

Spending a few days camping in the Sierras. A good way to vet a perspective son-in-law. Also easy disposal of the body if things don’t work out.

Resistol 4X for what I hope to be cool weather at 9,000 feet of elevation.

He doesn’t hunt, and my daughter has made me promise not to take him shooting. I’ve been a shooting and firearms instructor for almost 30 years and I don’t suffer fools where firearms are involved. $10 says he brings a baseball cap if anything.

Restrain yourself...either that or nail the baseball cap to a tree and use it for target practice. He will learn soon enough...

I like to check out what you guys are wearing every few days, but find myself not posting much in the summer. Not wearing felt often in this ugly 90 degree mess, so I stick with a few choice “straws”.

Did a gig in the heat last Saturday and wore my Stetson Florentine. Enjoy!

I've always been interested in that, but having firearms, a place to shoot in, and instructors is not easy in Mexico. Regulations are complicated, and one could easily get in all kinds of trouble with bonafide authorities or criminals.

I used to have pretty good aim with my compressed air ***** when I was a kid. Being a dentist, you learn how to steady your hand, too. "I coulda been a contender"

Thanks, Bowen. He does seem to be a nice kid and he’s from a good family. This will be number two and one more yet to come. It’s bittersweet. He can hate hats, ***s, dogs, fishing, and be a member of the wrong political party, but as long as he always treats my daughter right we’ll get along just fine.

I don't see how a person that hates hats, dogs, and fishing could be a good one.
