What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Wearing the Marathon again today. Only have a few hats at this stage so I cycle thru very fast but I love looking at the wonderful hat on this forum. Because of this I have caught the bug at my old age and it is amazing how you can pick up vintage hats that are in great shape for reasonable money. Merry Christmas everyone.

Turned out to be half price day at my favorite thrift and I found a Harris Tweed overcoat, an argyle sweater and a scarf. Wanted to see them with a grey hat, so The Sovereign Twenty got a bit of an outing

Ah... today...

As I wandered through the non-existent rush hour traffic, the age old last-work-day-before-Christmas question kept popping up: "Why the hell didn't I take today off?"

I could see the same confusion and despair on other drivers' faces.

Oh well... I make the best of it under an old Vita-Felt.

Cold and gray on Verona.
Today recovery day of family cars that for different reasons have remained firm, nailed by the cold

Borsalino in gray felt finished with short hair. The shape is the old one, very popular before the WWII, but it is a revival of the "Casa di Alessandria" in the 50s or 60s

Very malleable and of great softness

I confess I forgot to transcribe the data of the hat

It was sold in Parma a few years ago

Thanks, Cuz. Necessities, not shopping. Hoped the ********* hat would intimidate the blue heads and belligerent children in car length grocery carts as I stumbled up and down the aisle of Kroger today. No such luck. Merry Christmas!

Late afternoon I was wearing a vtg.Stetson Open Road while grilling some catfish. Hot spiced fish and some Pinoit Noir are much anticipated.
