It's odd you say that because I didn't take any of my Panama hats out this year. Still in their boxes in the basement. Maybe next year. Got some good use out of my Akubras though.

Wearing my new Borsalino Homburg down to NW Hats for a little stretch. Sits a little to high on the noggin. Also taking my Huckel Chamois down to have Mike bring it down a size. No amount of stuffing under the sweat makes it a comfortable fit.

Thanks. I like it. Over eleven years of use and being reblocked on a Lincoln logs tube it has a very distinctive shape. It still has a lot life left in her.

Last evening before a fire in a Gannon (steel gray).

This morning under the threat of a Storm Warning (snow) I am wearing a Simonds Cap.

If it is going to be cold - let it snow!

When did the whiskers start going white? You are colouring them, aren't you? Got yourself a Christmas job as Santa. Tell you what, that Gannon sure beats the nightcap or hood that Santa is often depicted as wearing.

Started going white at about 30. So (counts on fingers)...a long time!

Santa should be so lucky to find a Gannon in his stocking Christmas morn.

Brain was uncooperative and refused to work at picking a hat this morning. I just stood around like a slack-jawed doofus staring at the options. Damned brain...

So I took the path of least resistance... same Adam homburg from last night.

Hope everyone else's brains are more effective today.

You live and learn on this forum. I have always been under the impression that the Homburg had an upward brim for it's entire circumference. That frontal down brim is a style that I could easily spend hard earned cash on.
