That's how it starts. During my first eye exam the optometrist told me, "Hold off on wearing glasses as long as you can, because once you start wearing them regularly your eyes will become dependent on them and you'll need them all of the time." He went on to explain this is because when you wear eyeglasses your eyes focus on the image in the lenses and not on what you're looking at. And he was right. I finally had to give in about 12-13 years ago and start wearing my glasses if I wanted to read something, and now I can't read anything with small print without them.
