It's still hot over here, but I wanted to take blue monkey creation #2 out for a spin! The felt is Czech rabbit by way of ManHatCo in NY; the leather and lining is from lounger @bond .

My personal critique -- I need to block these with higher, straighter crowns -- I find that my current block doesn't provide enough slack to get really creative with the crease sculpting. Still - I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Super, super job on that hat. It looks fantastic.

What happened to Spring? It's winter again! Last week I broke out the lawn mower and gave it a whirl and this afternoon I was shoveling a little bit of snow off the driveway! Typical March weather around here! A lot of great looking lids on display, though. I'm really envious of the fine collections. Once again, I'm wearing my latest Resistol Tallboy conversion in Silverbelly on this cold evening...I still have some pics that I plan to post of this hat in the conversion corral sometime this week

Meanwhile, some Jerry Lee Lewis...

Just re-re-reribboned the Borsalino Colombo (from felt-belt to 1/2" bone ribbon to 1/2" brown ribbon to this) so now I'm wearing it to my niece's first softball practice of the season. She likes to be cheered on even in practice, so we all oblige.
