To make it an official post for this thread, I admit to taking these pictures (about 11:00am) while wearing a hat. In defiance of the freezing rain and snow, I stood on our frozen deck wearing my cheapo Dobbs poly straw (water proof probably...) My koi pond has completely frozen over, except where the waterfall pours in. The fish are hunkered down like the wife and I.

Thanks Rodolfo. I was very happy to run across the deerstalker. If I recall the story correctly it was made by a small weaving mill that also ran a shop where they made up the cloth into country wear. Sadly they are now only a page in the history book.
Balmy is good. Very nice hat Cristina. And looks like a great outfit to go with it. That brim binding looks very shiny, almost like leather. Which brings me to a question, have you ever bound a brim with garment leather?Great hats today, and cold cold weather from what I see! Not in Barcelona where it was mild today (balmy compared to most of you guys!)
