Vintage Dobbs Westward , very nice felt on this one, slightly thicker than an Allessandria ,I up sized it to fit and am trying out ribbons to go with it now. Haven't settled on one yet but I like the looks of a 1" .

hat by French hatter Pauline Brosset

Hi from Paris everybody!

Here are some photos of the custom hat the young (she's not even 30!) and very gifted French hatter Pauline Brosset has just made for me. She really has a palpable passion for hat making, and we took a long moment to discuss the very precise requirements I wanted in this hat. She has perfectly captured that, and it is such a pleasure to wear! It is made in pure beaver felt. I will post some more photos of me sporting the hat soon to give a better idea of the proportions.
