Zippered Handwarmer Pockets?

As we're talking about zips here, I now have the two Talon zips that were on my Aero C-3 - and if anyone would like them, please PM me and I will gladly send them. That should save someone a few bucks should they want them on a jacket and just ask Aero (or whoever) to fit them. They are 6" in length.

And I also have my brass antique-finish Aero zip that used to be on my Aero ANJ-3. I replaced it for a NOS Talon as I wanted something truly vintage for the jacket's 1943 heritage. I know some folk here aren't a fan of the Aero zip and TBH I've never understood it as this zip runs butter-smooth and never even tried to give me a lick of trouble ever. I gave it a slight polish with a polishing mandrel here at work, so it has a nice lustre as the darker paint has been brushed off on the high points to show a little of the shiny brass and it appears a little darker in the recesses. It is 21 1/2" long.

Again, free to a good home. Just PM me if you're interested.

Another person who thinks zips belong only on moto jacket pockets.

I've heard somebody reference filing down the zips. Is this really an option?

I would like to do it on my LW Easy Ryder. It has brass zips so I am guessing I won't destroy any coatings. Just file down the edges a little???? Want to make sure they will still zip.

Mysterious things, zippers.

I avoid zippered handwarmer pockets in most circumstances. They are scratchy to the skin if you put your hands in the pocket and can damage a watch. Second the hanging zippers made a noise. One some cafe racers they can be fine style-wise. For warming my hands i will always choose handwarmer pockets without zippers.

I wouldn't get zippered pockets on a 3/4 midlength style. It wouldn't look good. BTW - the guys that say zips hurt their delicate little hands are babies. Sorry guys but it's true! :p
