My Favorite Toys were a five gallon metal red gas can, and farm matches....:eeek:

Nah. I liked to mess with a slinky and my etch-a-sketch.

My bear who was named Bambi (I still have him, my daughter plays with him, and he was my mother's before he was mine), wooden alphabet blocks (we had an enormous set that filled up a milk crate), my brother and my Lego pirate ship (actually, I think it was my brother's but we both played with it), a doll named Victoria, and a toy groundhog named Saski (my daughter plays with him as well), crayons, play-doh, Scrabble, snakes and ladders, a tea set, and books.

Action figures all the way: Major Matt Mason (Mattel's Man In Space), G.I. Joe, Johnny West, Big Jim, all the Mego Comic Book and TV Series characters. Wow, too many to list.

Aurora Model Road Racing - sort of a smaller home version of slot car racing. Few games were as exciting and were hours of fun for us as kids. Here is a youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n1UEyx9WyY

We used to take the back tracking pin so the cars would "corner" and we probably went about 2X faster than this video does in the beginning. You could buy tires and stuff to improve the handling. We were very competitive and it did result in ,ore than a few parental admonishments: If you can't play nice we'll take the racing set away!

Most definitely my big, metal Tonka garbage truck.

Man, I LOVED my old Tonka toys.

I also loved playing with these...
