"Forums" as social media became brontosaur form. On all forums user claimed that more and more people moved to the FB, X, Insta, even Facebook became media for "Old people". Forums became more closely specialised communities, but this make Forums to expensive for forums owners keep support for small amounts of people. We will see how this will be changing in future, gen Z don't care about Fedora time like a Napoleon war.

If you close an off-topic area in a community, you can close the community itself. The time of "pre-DSL era forums" is over since fifteen years at least.
Even big european/german magazines closed down their own online communites, althought these were still vital. Others even never established such, while launching online newspaper abos.

When the smartphone bubble came up 2011/12, this was killing pre-smartphone times, at least in Europe.

Sorry, I'm not 100% certain what you seem to be asking here, or even if you're asking a question. I think you're trying to determine exactly when someone had to be born to be a member of the Baby Boomer generation; if I'm right, the answer according to the "experts" is 1946-1964. And, just in case anyone's curious, the title of "Baby Boomer" was derived from the mid-20th century baby boom that followed the end of World War II.

Hmmm, didn’t ask something, just replied to the statement right above, without ecplicitly quoting it, just like now with your‘s.
That‘s just the way i‘m used to from European/German forums. Sorry for having expressed myself misleading, i vow improvement.

…you wake up with the back pain of your life, just drop in a painkiller and though show up at work, resulting in awful pain from head to toe the next morning.

You show up at the doc for a sick note, leave some blood and an EKG, lay flat on your back, hoping the coming harbor boat tour will not develop to maximum and bathe your brain in metamizol.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but could March be a period for weather-caused headache? Now I'm 40 and when I think back, March was always such a time for me. We actual got also very dry air, dry winds, currently. Kind of dusty.

Oh, okay. No improvement needed, except perhaps to continue to educate we 'Mericans about how things are done elsewhere on the planet. ;)

Interesting situation, today fornoon. Just imagine, you're 40 years old (looking just younger):

I know this "prototypcial german Blockwart as....le" since 1990, when we moved here. Nobody of our normal folks here ever liked this guy and back then his wife or wanted to have any business with him.

When I played with our block cat, he first mistook the colourful cat playballs with groceries (because of an animal feeding problem, we had here with other folks for some weeks) and barked/snapped at me out of his kitchen window. I corrected to him about what I was doing.

But finally, that was OVER THE LINE, for me. When I got back in my apartment, I only needed a minute to think about it AND went over the attic into house entrance No.1 and TOLD him (still wíthout yelling)!
You might name it "having a JAW with someone!".

So situation was practically cleared, but that didn't calm me down, after. But now it's evening and I'm calming down step by step.

I mean, If a well-known humorless as....le or psycho barks at you, as he would mistake you with an stupid 5 year old, would you let him get away with that? Especially, IF YOU ALSO KNOW EXACTLY, WHAT HE IS THINKING ABOUT YOU?

I'm 40 years old and now THIS guy can 100% kiss my butt for the small rest of his life.
