And other times it feels like what toilet paper is designed to wipe away.Interesting, um, analogy. Sometimes life kinda feels like a roll of toilet paper.

If a person can somehow manage to put one together so that it fits their body mechanics exactly the way it should, it might be somewhat useful. Otherwise, it's just a waste of money--a gimmick to sell to people who think they're suddenly going to become irresistible to fill-in-the-blank without actually putting in the work and exercising a little culinary discipline. Push on the bar, and let the head rest slowly lift your head off of the floor, shifting your cervical vertebrae out of their natural position in the process. How, exactly, does that tighten the abdominal muscles again? Just do crunches and stop eating the peanut-butter-and-apple burritos.I always found these abdominal hometrainers an interesting thing. Last time, I used one, was in trade school's gym, back in 2004/05/06. I mean the classic ones.
Any experiences?
FDH (Friss Die Hälfte) is a very useful, olde tyme, money saving approach.
Age feels like a downhill ride, it gets faster and faster. It seems like that we have not long ago, taken down the Christmas decorations of 2020, only to have to put them up again. Where did that year go?
I think almost any food is if you eat enough of it. Moderation is the key--have an "apple and peanut butter" burrito once in a while, but don't forget other meat and/or vegetable proteins and minerals, fiber, and whatever else constitutes a "balanced" diet.Yup. Peanut butter is pretty fattening...
I've tried to stay "in shape" throughout most of my life just so my wife wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen with me in public. I learned at a young age that if I don't monitor and regulate what I eat I put on unhealthy weight rather easily, so I do what I can to avoid that. I've actually had a couple of overweight male friends ask me how I've managed to keep my weight down while they're eating their second cheeseburger at the same sitting or finishing off a "family size" bag of tortilla chips. But I understand and agree with your statement here. We grow older and hopefully wiser, and our priorities change because quite often the only thing getting thinner is our hair. We find we suddenly need to exercise restraint as well as our bodies, and cut back on some of the foods and beverages that we, in our younger days, could have eaten with no ill effects. As the joke goes, "We used to talk about who had the best acid. Now we talk about who makes the best antacid." So, yeah, I might not be built like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't built like Arnold Schwarzenegger anymore either....Mostly I think I’m at the age where I don’t care so much about my waistline. Only insofar as I’m not setting myself up for health problems down the road...
No, I don't. That was one of those things that popped up on my Farcebook feed. The "cadence" is a bit off here and there, but overall I found it just amusing enough to share.Zombie, do you know the author?
Life is different for each of us, so that's a difficult question to answer. People in good health with more money than they could possibly spend in a lifetime are probably enjoying their lives more than someone who is living on the streets panhandling for spare change. Or maybe not; I've never been either. I say do as many things as you can that make you happy, as long as that doesn't have a negative impact on anyone else in your life.In 2024, I will reach the 40. Should I look forward to or better not?
In August of 2021 my wife and I reached our 40th anniversary as husband and wife. Things weren't always easy or pleasant, but I'm very happy that we had each other to share that time with. If you find the right "girl" a relationship shouldn't be as stressful as you might imagine....I'm planning to stay Single, instead of learning how to withstand stress with the girls.
