Right now we've been drinking a lot of Zevia. (Stevia sweetened soda, so it is sugar free.) I like most of the flavors, but their Cherry, Grape, and Orange are to die for. I also like their Cola, Dr. Zevia, and Ginger Rootbeer. For a "diet soda" this brand is my favorite thus far.

I didn't care for their gingerale or their lemon/lime ones, but that is just my taste.

Saw some Indian tonic water the other day. Is there a difference between that and plain old run-the-mill tonic water?

I think its to do with the quinine content, I believe they used to drink it out in India in the days of the British Empire, to ward orf Malaria

It's a brand name. I know Schweppes calls their European version, with 8.6 grams of sugar per 100 ml 'Indian' tonic water, while apparently the HFCS tonic in America is just plain 'tonic water'.

Personally my favorite soft drink, and tonic water, is Fever-tree naturally light tonic water. A premium tonic with no artificial ingredients and no preservatives, it uses *less* of real sweetener instead of replacing natural sweeteners with artificial sweeteners. The taste, then, is improved instead of deteriorated compared to a full-sweetness regular tonic water. Well, in my opinion anyway. :p

I also like dosing the tonic with a few dashes of either aromatic bitters or orange bitters for more taste.

Thanks. If it's just a brand name, I'll give it a pass.

I have two that I "created":)
The Bogart, half ginger ale and lemon juice in an Old-Fashioned glass
The Cary Grant, half cranberry juice and orange juice in a Highball glass

I know it probably sounds silly, but it's fun.

Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale

a company out of Birmingham, Alabama the recipe is supposed to be the same one they started making in 1901

Very good it has a great spicy bite that you don't get from canada dry or schweppes. REALLY, REALLY good in a rye and ginger or a jack and ginger with just a sliver of lime!

Growing up I drank lots of SNOW WHITE cream soda, which is nearly, if not completely, extinct now. I also really love Pineapple Crush, Orange Fanta, and any Ginger beer. locally, we have soda from propeller brewery, which is quite delicious.

Well, being a diabetic, I only do diet drinks and don’t do a lot of them. I do love San Pellegrino Mineral water with some lime, but purchased would be Canada Dry diet Ginger ail. Pretty good stuff.

Hi, I looked them up on Wikipedia. Buffalo Rock is also the maker of Grapico, a Grape flavored sode I used to drink back in Decatur AL.

[ Grapico mixed with Absolut Peppar jalapeño flavored vodka is a drink called the Ex-girlfriend. It's called the Ex-girlfriend because "it's sweet and seems like a good idea, but eventually it's going to burn you and make you sick." ] I should have quit reading, now I kind of want to try one, just because of the name. Bleeech.
