Hi I am looking for an earlier Kersey wool navy peacoat with the coruroy pocket linings in a size 46 or possibly 44 depending on the measurements. I'd also be interested in a WWII or WWI repro from Buzz Rickson or Real McCoy's.

I'm in the UK, cash waiting. Show me what you have...

I don't think BR or RM ever made a size 46 peacoat. My advice is to take a look at Fidelity which is made in USA. They do make a 10 buttons WW2 version with the chin strap as well as the later 8 buttons version. I remember seeing a WW1 4 pockets version by Fidelity too but not sure if they still make it.

Here is a small piece of information regarding BR though. BR has a cheaper line called United Carr which produces a pretty nice peacoat too. Difference is UC uses 26oz melton while BR uses 36oz. Substantial price difference.

Thanks for that. I am certain that RMC have made a 46 before, I’ve seen one for sale. For buzz, I think a 44 would work for me.

I’m definitely not interested in modern civilian versions or lightweight interpretations. Original vintage or faithful repros only. Cheers

This is one jacket that cannot be faithfully reproduced owing to the fact that no one is making kersey wool anymore. Even Buzz and RM are using melton.

Well yes. That’s true but they get the weight and the cut and buttons and features as correct as possible - as faithful as is possible is what I want, not a modern civilian version.
