Here are the measurements on my J24 (size 46 old version) I sold about a year ago; shoulder is about the same, pit to pit I think the j24 was about half an inch wider and length J24 was about 1.5" shorter and this is comparing my J-24 size 46 (old version) to my J-24L size 44

Thanks for the measurements! That would have been a perfect fit for me, which is a bummer, but glad you found one. I have the j24 in size 44 and it is a bit too short for me. I’ll have to keep a look out for another j24l size 44.

Yes, last year they released the new fit which is bigger (bulkier) not as slim fit as previous versions, the patern is more vintage like, with 3D sleeves (wider) which I dont like; my prevvious J-24 (the one listed measurements here) is the previous version, that one is no longer manufactured if you look @TRM website they only have size 38 left in stock; by the way Im still waiting for jacket weather LOL I have not been able to use my J-24L….. soon

The J24l pattern looks like the updated original buco. The sleeves and back are different from the j24. Additionally, a snap was added to the front next to the female zipper box. By looking at both styles of j24, I do believe the older pattern is a much more expensive jacket to reproduce because of the extra leather and the labor involved to finish the jacket. The two hides are very similar in thickness but as they age, the steer hide develops a beautiful patina. I have one made for the allstate label.
