Here’s a Filson field jacket that’s going to be a “sleeper” because of the listing title. Some wear and little different than the one you pictured but still a Filson, way too big for me.
Hi Big Steve, be carful the short lined is totally different in sizing than a packer or a cruiser. It’s an hipster cut. I had a L Long and i’m 6’2 and 230lbs (XL in Filson) and I had to sell it back. I took a XXL in the short lined I have a black one now. The fit is perfect minus too short sleeves...So rule of thumb in short lined, 2 size up. Best is to call a Filson store and asked them to measure directly on a jacket.
Thanks for the advice. I did call them actually and inquired and based on what they said the XXL LONG sizing should hit the spot. Obviously won't know till I have one in hand to try to know for sure. But they're currently out of stock on that particular item.
How do you like yours? Does it wear fairly well?
I love it but it come with the cover cloth not tin cloth, so it’s thinner and lighter. I prefer the tin cloth. If you are a XXL in Filson don’t take XXL in this model unless you wear your cloth snug. What’s you height and weight?
I'm 6'6 210. According to their sizing chart and store associate the XXL long in the tin cloth cruiser is 38 1/4. That should do it as I'm a 38/39 dress shirt sleeve.
Give these guys a try - I see they still have a 2XL in stock. The Fit Chart suggests it might work. They have an XL in Black as well. I have one of thier waxed cotton vests and really like it.
Hot damn....it took a while but I managed to snag one from Filson. Had the long sizes available for a few hours only before selling out...wow !! Knew it was popular but didn't think quite at this level.
