My suggestion is may be have a look at the Akubra Squatter as well, I've been told by Sam from Everything Australian, that the squatter is almost identical to the fed deluxe or standard fed, but much cheaper, the fed deluxe runs at about 190 dollars the squatter from Everything Australian, 88 if I remember correctly. Worth a look, Or even checkout my pics of the Akubra, Campdraft that I have posted on here, I've been told by quite a few that it looks like the indy hat.
Just a thought.

Actually, after ordering Trudi and the folks at Hats direct graciously allowed me to amend my order and I upgraded to the fed deluxe. So as far as my search for an indy hat, I'd call the case closed. You all helped me a lot so thank everyone involved. My little WTB thread became quite the discussion. You guys are great.

I'm in the market for a Akubra Campdraft. I have a silverbelly, but want to add a different color. Blue, green, black. Probably Imperial grade but will consider Heritage. Thanks, you can check my ebay feedback before we do it if you like.
