WTB: 2017 - 2018 Schott x 3sixteen Perfecto Arabica Cowhide - Sz Small / Medium

Hi,

I am looking to buy a Schott x 3Sixteen 519 Perfecto in the elusive Arabica Horween Cowhide, small or medium. Please let me know if you have one for sale (the brown one with brass hardware as pictured below -- I believe this came out in late 2017 / 2018).

The Arabica one is a stunner. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in person either, really rare.

I’ve got the 2020 one, and the 2023 20th anniversary one. 2020 is a dull black, almost gray black, and it teacores to brown in high wear spots. But certainly not the deep brown tones of the Arabica. Super dense leather, it’s a beast. Whereas the 20th anniversary one is way more shiny and proper black, and very supple with lots of grain texture.

I can take some photos of them side by side in the daylight tomorrow if that’s helpful at all.

I was wondering if the hh version was that deep reddish dark brown with some patina, but it seems like the Arabica is brown pigment milled on top of light brown cowhide. Whereas for the horsehide, it's matte black pigment milled over medium brown horsehide. Unfortunately not the same!

Does anyone know if Schott used that specific Horween Arabica cowhide on any other jacket models? It's such a nice hide, I'd actually potentially prefer it on another pattern, but honestly, the 519 with brass in it is also just killer.

I have one in a medium but would only let it go as a trade for something equally as desirable in a large.

Thanks for replying here! I actually ended up finding both a small and a medium in this right at the same time after like 2.5 years of having an alert set on each of the typical secondhand sites. Then, right after I bought those, another medium popped up near me in NYC!

It's one of my favorite jackets ever, the only jacket I would ever even think to own two of -- the small looks better fit wise on me and the medium allows for better layering (and will be my backup in case I get too fat for the small, heh). I was able to get both at pretty good prices, less than a new higher end (i.e. Horween) Schott for the 2 of them combined.

No worries, I'll keep trying to shed the pounds and eventually it will fit as it's so nice I really don't want to have to let it go.

Don't suppose you have come across a size large whilst you were searching for one ?

I also have a Schott x Frye (see pic) but it's an XL which is too big. Need to move both of them along and replace with Large.

Funny enough, I did see a large of the Arabica posted to eBay before the ones I purchased, and it was still up for sale after I got my two -- but I no longer see it. It had a weird listing title, like "Schott x 3Sixteen Achingly Beautiful Arabica Horween Jacket" or some such, so you'd know if you found the one I'm talking about. Not sure if it sold or what, but the seller wanted like $1700 for it. Folks are free to charge what they want, but I got both my small and medium for several hundred less than that combined.

The Frye jacket is cool, I've seen it around, pretty unique -- I think I saw your recent post on picking it up (maybe on reddit?) if that's the same one.
