Wrangler Unwashed 13MWZ

I wore Levis 501 jeans for years until I discovered Wrangler unwashed 13MWZ. I bought two pair and use them for working on my place mowing and cutting firewood...sometimes under overalls. I like the longer rise and softness of the denim after maybe a half dozen washes.

I am not a cowboy although I wear Justin pull on work boots. What I like is the tapered cuff. It's quite unique to have a pant wide enough for boots that tapers so that the cuff does not get dragged into the mud.

I use them with my Dr Martens and they are great.

They've come up a lot here. I wear them - I also have the slim ones as I am fairly trim. I learned on here not to wash them in detergent with optical brighteners it turns the denim a nasty vivid blueberry color. I'm not crazy about the color of these Wranglers generally but given their price and robustness, I overlook this. It is cheaper for me to buy 4 pairs from the US and have them shipped to Australia than it is to buy one pair here at a shop price - if you can even find them.

One of the best deals in jeans there is. It's hard to believe, when you get them and see the quality, that they only cost you about $20.00. They're pretty much the uniform of my redneck contractor friends, and for good reason.

They seem to be easy to get online from the US - either from Wrangler.com or Amazon.co.uk via their 'global' site. I havea pair on order; my only belated concern is that they might be what is commonly nowcalled "boot cut". I would rather die than wear anyting flared. Quite literally.

I've got them from amazon global ..... bought 6 pairs as the fit is excellent with the higher waist - I wouldn't call them boot cut at all

Well, mine arrived yesterday. Tried them on for the first time tonight, and the high waist is fantastic. Much wider in the leg than anticipated too (they look quite skinny in all the marketing photos!). Very pleased indeed.

Yes.... I wodner what they could do if they made them selvedge? TBh, though, given the only difference in practice I find is that little bit cosmetic difference down on the cuff..... I'm very chuffed indeed to have picked these up - a fully, 1947 accurate pair of jeans - for so little. I might try a pair of the 'relaxed' Cowboy Cut at some point too. The waist is just so nice!

Yes.... the only real difference betwene these and what I normally wear is that these are a zip fly (which I can live with, though it's not my ideal), and they're not selvedge. I like that little selvedge tick on a cuf, but going forward perhaps not enough to pay markedly more for it if these work out as well as first impressions suggest. It's arare joy to find smething in a genuine vintage cut and of decent quality this cheap....

I'm guessing so. I *think* - though it's hard to tell from online images - that they're pretty similar over the seat, but a straight leg, where the standard one has a small amount of taper. Even that standard would have to go over boots, though, I think: can't see being able to roll these up and tuck them into engineers, much less a pair of Lewis Westways!

They are fine to wear over engineers or Pecos boots, but you could just as well tuck them (at least into engineers) if you wanted to.

Maybe if they shrink up in the leg a bit; I bought a 38L because it was that or 34, and I wanted a better cuff than the 34 would allow. Cuffs now too much to shove in a boot.

I'm not on my own machine now so don't have the links to hand, but 31MZ I believe is correct. The main US Wrangler site has a whole page showing all the different Cowboy Cut Collection models and explaining the fits.

I like them too and buy them because they come in a 31 leg length where most all others have leg length in even numbers...30 too short, 32 drags the floor when in socks.

That's the bonus of liking cuffs; I just have to make sure they're 'too long'. ;-)

And you can even get 35"-waist sizes, whereas practically all others seem to go 33, 34, 36, 38.
