Congrats, Nice job on the hat. I know what you mean about keeping it clean when you're working on it. I had the same problem with the platinum colored hat body that Mike Moore gave me. Even so, I'm sure that like me you'll really grow attached to this one. Lighter shades are rare in this style. to my eye the cranberry ribbon works great against the bone body. I wear that platinum hat quite a bit. At first I thought, like you, that the hat was a bit too dressy for everyday wear but now it's grown on me so that I wear it with just about anything. The light colored felt does require frequent spot cleaning, but I think it's worth the trouble.
