Would you return this shaving brush stand?

I read somewhere that it's not necessary to dry the brush hanging down, as the moisture evaporates upwards anyway. Don't quote me on that, though.

I've heard both arguments, but I dried a brush my wife bought me exclusively standing on its base and it became unusable within a year or so (too many bristles fell out; this got worse with time).

ymmv, but I'm sticking with the hanging method.
