Hmm.... I not that old, and now that I read that, I have to say that luckily never really anything bad had happen to me.

But that just makes me even wonder more why I have to struggle with depressions and eating dissorders, when I actually don't really have any reasons for it.... [huh]

Early on in this thread, someone mentioned that they did not want this to get depressing, but after reading all your stories, i only feel uplifted and reassured that the human spirit is very strong and can survive much.

Like SCOTRACE, I, too, have experienced having my first born die in my arms.Brodie was born, unexpectantly, when i was just 26 weeks into my first pregnancy. For 5 months i quite literally lived at the hospital.I sat by his incubator for 16 hours a day, ate all my meals in the cafeteria, and adopted the nurses as my family. He then came home with us ,and filled our lives with complete joy untill he developed a lung infection shortly after his first birthday.I was sitting in a rocking chair holding him when he breathed for the last time.

That experience has shaped me on so many levels.many that are still unfolding. But as painful as this is,I have shared my story with Mothers who have experienced stillbirths, and couples who believe i was extremely blessed to be able to share his life for that one short year. And they are right. My blessings abound ,as I later gave birth to another healthy boy and adopted yet another.

There certainly have been many other troubles, some that I continue to live with, but, i don't necessarily think i am overly strong. What choice do we have?We can either hide in bed all day and pull up the covers or get up and live!
