A slimfit 1930´s halfbelt in women size 34 would be nice :cheers1:

The hard part for me would be to actually get her inside a piece of horse.
Im working on even letting a horse jacket of mine inside the house. Its gonna take some time but I hope I will be finnished about summertime lol

A friend was recently given a beautiful fur scarf/neck wrap. Jet black, reminded me of one of my cats. It turned out, on investiagtion with the family who gifted it to her, that the former owner, an elderly relative of theirs, couldn't bear to be parted with her two favourite cats when they died and so had their pelts turned into this wrap. Normally I'd be horrified by the idea (I'm a proud meat eater and leather wearer, but, dammit, cats are people!), but actually in that context I think it's kinda sweet....

I think I've read you post before that your wife keeps horses and, like a lot of horse-people, doesn't like the idea of them being farmed for skin? Maybe she'd feel different about a hide, if you could source one, that she could be sure came from somewhere where horse is a foodstuff and therefore the hide a byproduct of the food industry? Or would that be a problem altogether.... maybe have to wait until her favourite horse passes to pony heaven and suggest "here's a way to keep him with us forever..."?? [huh]

Yeah. She has had close connection to horses she has own, so it doesnt really matter how they died, she says its wierd to use the skin, like she wouldnt use the skin of a person.

She never liked real leather at all before so its one step at a time :p

Is there a specific reason why you want to get her into horsehide - is it to make your jackets acceptable to her, or do you want her to wear horsehide? I'm not against it, myself, though in my experience it's not necessarily superior to goat or steer.... Depending on what jacket you want, there are alternatives: the A2was also produced in goat; the USN jackets were initially all goat (later steer, I believe). Aero produce all their jackts, I believe, in all the hides, so if you wanted to buy her a halfbelt, you're not limited to horse.

The reason is just that I dont have any Horsehide jackets.

I really want a Highwayman in FQHH, bad. I know it will probably be as cool in heavy steer, but since HH is Aeros speciality, I really want at least one jacket from this hide. I wanna know what it feels like and I want to experience the break-in.
I have broken in one heavy jacket for about 17 years, and that was only cow, but It still is kinda stiff lol

I need this jacket.

Personally I think FQHH is way too heavy for a lady to wear. It's a heavy jacket !

I'm in discussions with Aero about a russett goat Half-belt long. It'll be ideal for my dear wife when she's pillion on my bike.

Well...I guess you are right about the weight. But I must say my wife likes the FQHH very much. I am still waiting for experiences of female Aero wearers...
