I recently bought a damaged WW2 RCAF Deacon flight suit, the type my great-grandfather flew in, and decided to try and convert it into a jacket
Some of the ends are still exposed, but they've been treated to not continue fraying
The cropping is pretty high, to about battle dress length, but that fits the period
As is I'm mildly pleased with the current state, I feel this is going to be a perpetual project, but one very important to me
