I think he is wondering where that groove in the leather comes from that is a line across the back.
I think its from driving and general sitting, right?

Yes thats right! The line is from driving and an evidence of lots of action.

AERO's Great Windward in VINTAGE BROWN FQ HORSEHIDE. . .

GENTS - like to present my recent acquisition from Aeroleather - its an Aero Windward Jacket in Size 46 - and its made of Aero's VINTAGE BROWN HORSEHIDE. The fit is how I expected because its based on my experience with my other Windward's and preferences.
Well - this is my Sport Utility "Flight Jacket" ...

NEVER saw a new jacket with such a nice grainy surface right out of the box - even my jerky hh Windward didn't have more graininess. The jacket looks so nice I cannot imagine that someone ever could abuse such a beauty . . . with knifes . . . sandpapers . . . or anything else . . .
Judgment: DEATH PENALTY ! The jacket doesn't feel as heavy as my standard brown FQHH and its more softer - maybe because my standard brown HH has an extra leather panel to hem and cuffs.

NOW - I would say it will be my final jacket - I feel that I got everything that my heart was ever yearning for. I am breaking it in while wearing it inhouse - while having california red wine - in front of my computer - AND ventilator (!) - its sooo terrible warm . . . but it works very well and feels and look better and better!!!

Here are the order details for those who like to know:
1. Entire jacket sewn in olive drab green thread
2. Epaulettes: A-2-style epaulettes with box stitching
3. COLLAR: A-2 style with stud down collar
4. BODY lining: black heavy cotton drill
5. SLEEVES lining: black heavy cotton drill
6. Cuffs with black storm cuffs
7. POCKETS lining: off white heavy cotton drill
8. HARDWARE: AERO antique brass zipper with ball and chain
9. TWO INSIDE deep “gun” pockets zippered with leather puller

Superb looking hide! Seems to have a redder hue than a Stuart I own in the same hide. Enjoy!

Thanks Gents . . . at the moment its a kind of reddish hue but I presume it will develop into a more russet colour - as you can see on the sleeve.
