I too am on the search for a Gay Prince er....you know what I mean. I have a couple in greys and brown but not in the taupes, greens and blues I seek for my 7 3/8 noggin. They appear on that site from time too time and I too have bid too meekly on one's that went to other loungers. You know who you are (oh and do call me if you want to sell them)

Fortunately for you dherman1 I seem adept at bumping into size 7 one's. I'll make a note to pm you.

Well, you were all right. Another one did pop up. It's tan instead of grey, and the threading around the brim needs a little help, but it's mine! Woohoo!

I got my hands on one of these, finally, and it is some of the nicest felt I own, including Borsos from 40s - 50s. Soft & supple, dense yet thin... very, very nice hat, indeed.
