Sweet looking hat Metropod, but what's up with that wind trolly?

Mark (who does not recall ever actually dealing with a wind trolly)

I think the wind trolley is fine, the exta string is the oringinal price tag. I asked him what tint it had. He said it had no brown or warm tint nor a blue or cool tint. He said Is was as neutral a gray as a gray could possibly be. Maybe it is because of the white longer fur in the grey felt?

Nice hat, but I'm guessing it's no earlier than 1950s, maybe
even 1970s. That's based on the liner graphics and the
way the model name is written, compared to hats I have
or I've seen here.

Mind you, nothing wrong with that! It's going to be a
truly fine hat.

Wow Feltfan, thank you! I guess in my ignorance I assumed if the brim was 2 3/4 and the crown was 5 inches it would be 40's or before. I did not stop to think that they were making hats styled like this after the golden era.

Yes indeed!!!!....

That's just what I'm lookin' for! Now if we can clone that in a 7 1/2 to fit my big head, we'll start our own merry band of gangsters!

Sweet, is the word!

Don't sweat this for a second. Listen to Douglas.
Borsalino made awesome hats through the 70s.

My guess is you will absolutely love this hat.
The one in your avatar is, of course, stupendous.
But this one may surprise you with its fine felt and
construction.

We hear the name Borsalino tossed around on this
site a lot. We see a lot of old Borsalino hats.
There's a reason people are impressed. Looking forward
to your reaction when it arrives.

Heck of a lid

Metropd, a very nice catch regardless of the age. I don't think that brim is all that wide. I had Art do me a hat called the Jazzman. It has that tall ribbon and even taller crown. It took me a little time to get used to it but once I did it has become one of my more favorite hats. My bet is you are going to really like the hat when you get it.:eusa_clap
