Who are you favorite generals of WWII

Id say Ike. He had alot things to organize and keep people working together.

I agree. He had to deal with all sort of personality conflicts with the allied Generals and keep them focused on remembering that they were all on the same team.

Often overlooked: Field Marshall Sir William Slim. His operations to stop the Japanese invasion of India in mid-'44 were exceptional.

And of course there was also Orde Wingate and his Chindits.

Not a General, a Colonel but a CO nonetheless, Phil Cochran, leader of the 1st Air Commandos in Burma. He became a Colonel at 33!

I hate to say it but you have to give credit to Erwin Rommell. He was an awesome militar commander. To bad he wasnt on our side.

Rommel was a great General who detested Hitler and his policies. He was very much a military man, all business just like Patton and with a little nudge in the other direction he would've fought for our side.
