Whippet back from Optimo, Wow!!!!!!!!

I received my Whippet back from Optimo today and WOW, Graham does great work!!!!! I had it cleaned, blocked, new sweat, and new ribbon. It looks brand new and I am very happy.

I don't know if you can tell much by the photo. I had cleaned it some, but I was not satisfied and the sweat was just crumbling.

I remember someone else posting some info on another company that was selling some vintage hats, and also offered cleaning and such. ANyone remember it? They charged 60 I think for full cleaning and new sweat. Maybe not as good a job. Who knows?

By the way, I have a black stetson open road in a 7 1/2 that needs a new sweatband, and maybe someone would like to convert to fedora style or keep as open road.

With a new sweat it could probably even be made bigger.

It could use a wider ribbon for a vintage fedora look.

Might cost a hundred bucks to do, but if you need a hat that big, it owuld be worth it. On the other hand, it doesnt't necesserily need cleaning, just a sweat and new crown and ribbon of you like.

crown is 5 1/2 and brim is 2 7/8.

I could send pics if you pm me and could send it direct to the hatters to save shipping.

I was going to post with pics but am feeling lazy. I figure if someone sees it here it will save me the trouble.

I am asking thirty five bucks plus ten shipping.


The existing sweatband could be used with a littie lglue or something, but it is ripped from the attached part in some spots.

I know JP Designs just started selling vintage hats, and he's been doing repair work for a while. Maybe that's what you're remembering?
