What about Wahmakers? The Gentleman's|Western|Steampunk Emporium (amongst other places) sells them.
That sort of thing would be great if you like a high waist but with a slimmer, straight leg, as was the norm in the Victorian / Old West period, up into the Edwardian Era to the early 20s. If you're looking for a more 30s/40s look, they'd be a bit too narrow in the leg, typically - though that said I have a pair I wear with a more middle fifties look, and they work for that.
(Sorry for the UK specific terms.... easy to forget how ingrained that are!)
