Obligatory snarky humor: A man shouldn't shave anywhere that he's unwilling or unable to clean up the mess afterward.

:D lol

Just set it all up outside, mirror on the tree, bucket of cold water, a sharp blade, et voila! :D :D

A man who has or has not hair on his head doesn't worry me a bit, in fact I rather like men with shaved heads, i find that sexy!

It is said that bald individuals have more testosterone that the average male ...

I have always found men with bald/partly bald head eye catching.
They are usually very interesting characters, which is what I would look for would I be looking :D

Yul Brynner, a striking example. But he looks very tame with hair:

These are excellent examples of bald/shaven heads held high:

This thread has been a real eye-opener! I had no idea so many guys shave anything more than their chins :)

if it gives you the look and feel you want...then do it. It's your body after all!! :eusa_clap

My husband shaves everything he can reach except forearms and legs, which leaves his back hairy too. I so wish he could/would take care of that though! I don't mind a little chest hair if it's kept in check, and I'm becoming very interested in the idea of him having a beard.

I'm sorry if this was raised here before, but what is your stance on men's chest hair? Should it be that men should keep their chest hair and not shave it? Personally, I sort of view the practice of "waxing" or shaving one's chest hair, rather effeminate, and I sometimes cringe when I see other guys (especially my own age, and at the beach) bare-chested, unless it's perhaps just natural for them to be like that. I don't have much going on myself, definitely not as much as Sean Connery or Tom Selleck, but what little I may have, I'm not going to shave.

For your information, based on my own observations, it seems that it's pretty much the norm for younger adult men around my age to shave their chest (and back) hair. I see this all the time at the beach.

I just found this thread and since other men are posting here as well...................

Being a (very hairy) man of Italian/Sicilian descent, the thought of shaving my entire body (again) seems like a daunting task. In my twenties and early thirties I used to compete in bodybuilding. Since hair hides muscle definition and vascularity, off with all bodily hair (except my head and moustache). I came to hate the body shaving almost as much as the dieting! I would start off a couple weeks out from contest time and use an electric body shaver to get the bulk of the long/coarse "dog hair" off. My wife insisted this be done outside. I would then spend a few hours in the shower (with her help) using an electric razor to shave close to the skin. For the next several days my skin would break out in areas that (IMO) were never meant to be shaven. We would shave again and apply conditioner every few days until the skin adjusted. A few days out and again the night before the contest we used a bladed razor to get skin close.

While I sometimes shave the coarse hair off my upper arms these days (ok, a bit of vanity here), just the thought of shaving my body tires me out. Luckily, my wife doesn't mind.

I did come to have a much greater appreciation for women having to shave their legs (and underarms -ouch!).

In an ideal world, whether or not a man has chest hair would be known only to himself, his wife, and his doctor. Unless he's employed as a strong man at the carnival, as a prizefighter, or as a professional wrestler.

This is great! I've really gotten a kick out of this thread! Interesting to see how many strong opinions there are on this one :)

But thank you to those of you gents who clean up after yourselves... could you teach this trick to my SO? Housebreaking him is taking forever ;)

Clean shaven face, please, I get beard burn very easily. From the neck down, as nature intended. There's something effeminate to me about men shaving body hair. I love body hair on a man, save looking like Sasquatch.
