When did Eastman change their Luftwaffe label?

To me they do seem quite "pricey" today. 1,100 British pounds is $2,000 Australian dollars or $1500 USD.

Of course I seem to remember paying 300 quid for my first Eastman Luftwaffe in 1990 so maybe not !

What I do like here in Australia , and before I emigrated from the UK, I was ALWAYS the only one I ever saw.

How is yours performing RobRinay ?
It’s not had a lot of wearing since I bought it owing to the surfeit of jackets in my collection each shouting “my turn today!” Fortunately it arrived ready broken in and as I wore it dampish till it dried after washing it fits me nicely.

I hear ya mate. I wore mine today , the youngest of the 3 that is , plus the most appropriate for a work day.
The other 2 have way too much "patina" now for the Monday to Friday grind ( even tho' I am "semi retired" !)i
Photos already posted in the WJAYWT thread sorry for any offence so caused.
A "cool" December day for us with a 10C start on my Harley ride to work.

I always thought the lining inside those Luftwaffe jackets was supposed to be tartan. I guess it depended upon who made them during the war.

I had a replica goatskin "Hartmann" Luftwaffe style jacket , lined in "Tartan" , bought new out of Singapore.
Gave it to my youngest brother a few years back so no photo sorry.
Supposedly authentic. Button sleeves not zippers. Quite well made actually , but not as well as my Eastman.

I’ve got the Hartmann with Tartan lining from ELC in Cape hide, lovely drape to it...

I suspect since you are there in the UK you might ask Aero if they would re-line this in Cotton Drill for you, very durable and nicely finished.

Was it much lighter with the cotton lining? Mine currently only sees really cold weather here in the UK...
