I grew up with this as my ideal (minus the Luger, unfortunately):

I've recently heard of a custom tailor shop in my town, and I intend to go check them out and see if they could do something like this.

Beyond the early Sixties businesswear, though, I like the 3-piece suits of the Thirties and Forties, the kind of thing James Stewart wore in The Philadelphia Story and It's a Wonderful Life.

Like Chasseur I'm partial to the 1930s silhouette or the Harold Lloyd late 1910s/early 20s look. It is somehow an ideal shape. For winter I like tweed suits, two-button, notched rever and single or double vents, patch pockets; moderately roomy plain-top braced trousers with plain hems, with matching or contrast waistcoat.

This is a look I admire (originally posted by HBK) William Haines:

Summer: tobacco-coloured linen suit, single breasted with peaked rever, double vents, side adjuster trousers with plain hems.

Horses for courses really, can't say anyone suit or style of suit is a favourite. There's a photo of my father just after WW2 that I have previously posted. Dad was wearing a double breasted, small herringbone patterned, grey suit. It was his demob suit. I so loved it that I had a replica made. But then I really like my pure wool, single breasted, chalk stripe zoot. And all my other suits. It's the occasion that calls for a particular suit.
If you have a moment take a look at this thread, and see that it has a 1920's themed night. What suit would you wear to such an event?

hello

I am a fan of the suit from Johnny Depp in the film Public Enemies.
But the price at denverbespoke is very expensive. Have anyone a internetshop who sell suits in this form?
