What's going on with the FL site?

Same thing with the adds.
I enjoyed years of no adds at all with Addblocker on my Iphone.
Even after the last new lounge update fiasco.
Recently i upgraded my Iphone that still had Addblocker on it and now i get those adds imbedded in the threads.
Really tired of seeing those damn same boots and shoes!
This place is free and i hate to whine but those boots and shoes!

Yes, this place is free, but without those who fill it with life, there would be no advertisers.
In this respect, if it were my site, I would simply not show any adverts to the members who actively participate. But I would for everyone else.
With 3,896 guests and 87 members, the bill would still add up. Especially as the active members probably ignore the adverts anyway because they see them 20 times a day.

Haven't had any problems with this site in 2024 . I'm using a desktop pooter with Firefox for browsing over high speed telephone internet. Not using a smartphone or iPad or anything wireless. Maybe that matters?

No problems with the site loading but hate the ads on the phone. I would gladly pay some amount every month to get a better experience as I already do on other forums. I even bought the iron and resin flannel btw, not bad!

Alternatively, make the ads show the highest liked jacket of the month from the what are you wearing today thread

Not really, it's mega slow sometimes for a min or two but other than that it's been smooth sailing(I'm on PC(Firefox) 95% of the times).

it seems to vary for me. I usually get this annoying “lag” when typing a message … takes forever. Then other times is much better (but by no means perfect).

It is what it is I guess, but it has to deter users who aren’t as determined as me lol.

I had a few snags today but nothing significant. When that happens I close the tab and open a new one. That usually sorts it out. If not, I might log out and then log back in.

I haven't had significant issues since what seems like 12 months or more.

No problems at all for me on Safari, since a very long time.

It has been working perfectly for me for some time now. Both on the Mac and on the iPhone. Both with Safari.
The good thing is that I no longer see these adverts disguised as posts because Safari has a new function that allows you to hide distracting objects. I did it once with the advert block and it's been quiet ever since.

Working fine here on Mac Safari for some time also. Interested in this blocker K, could you please do a screen image for me of where to find it in settings?

What machine are you using and which browser?
Reason I ask is that after the 'great stutter' I switched to Safari on the Mac (Chrome extensions were overheating it) - it's robust. On the phone (android with Chrome) not too shoddy either
