Just turkey and salami sandwiches tonight. Still working on projects around the house. Tired, but feeling pretty happy about the renovation s.
Magic indeed.....but all of my kids were over for dinner (and two of them are teenagers now) so the price of enough bacon to make everyone happy, along with the amount of labor for the cook (me) to prepare said amount, was enough to cast a spell of cold hard reality over the evening's repast. All of it sounds great, but throw in some Bacon and you have Magic.
Thank you, sir!Vacation or better yet, vacations are a great reason to be absent from anywhere.
Homemade macaroni and cheese is a treat! The rest of the meal sounds pretty darn good as well.
Welcome back!
This is exactly why I don't cook/serve bacon a lot!Magic indeed.....but all of my kids were over for dinner (and two of them are teenagers now) so the price of enough bacon to make everyone happy, along with the amount of labor for the cook (me) to prepare said amount, was enough to cast a spell of cold hard reality over the evening's repast.

That is understandable. There is never enough Bacon for me and I do not eat like a teenager anymore.Magic indeed.....but all of my kids were over for dinner (and two of them are teenagers now) so the price of enough bacon to make everyone happy, along with the amount of labor for the cook (me) to prepare said amount, was enough to cast a spell of cold hard reality over the evening's repast.

Tonight is chicken and dumpling casserole. I may be a rebel and not serve veggies with it.

Why not both?Dessert...I'm trying to choose between Ice Cream and Jameson.
Sounds pretty good other than that diet thing. The Missus' home made bean-less chili with veggies, cayenne, potatoes with bacon crumbled up as a topping, because we're do the Whole 30 diet.
Nice!Tonight it's fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, to mark the date of Elvis's passing away.
