Chicken parmesan, linguine with tomato basil sauce (using up the abundance of fresh basil leaves I bought for last night's pho), and Caesar salad (Lily's choice).

Leftovers for everyone's lunch tomorrow.

Serve some Vanilla Wafers with the banana pudding and the entire meal's grade goes from 99 to 100.
Not to answer for Dale, FF but it's Alabama banana pudding. Bet he comes back with " the bottom and sides of the dish were covered with vanilla wafers."
Bama's right. The bottom and sides of the dish were lined with vanilla wafers before the pudding even went into it, kinda like they were a pie crust or something. I don't think I've ever had it any other way. One may as well leave out the bananas as to leave out the vanilla wafers. This of course leads to my question.....in New York are the cookies served on the side?

Sadly, banana pudding is not a big thing up here (it is to me) so you don't see it that often, but when you do, I've seen it done both ways. Also, sometimes, each VW is just pushed half way into the top of the pudding. New York does not understand banana pudding.

How unfortunate. It's practically a staple of a proper southern diet.
