I don't think they have them out your way. I know they didn't have them in Ohio. No, they're not like dates. I can't really think of something to compare them to.... [huh]

We have them here all year. They even grow in the backyard.
They'll grow here too, but not out there. When I'd buy them at the store, the checker always asked me what I was going to do with them. Uh.... cook and eat them
