I had two bowls of chili with bacon in it. :D Then I went out and hauled a cord of wood into the backyard. I had to. It was wood from some tree that was supposedly 100 years old and some hippie around here tried to stop the property owner from cutting it down. It was on the front page of the local newspaper. :doh:
This is one of the few times I am going to use this video but: http://youtu.be/A_sY2rjxq6M Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Tonight, steak cooked in the manner of seared in a pan and then baked;
Black-eyed peas, because my family was from Oklahoma;
and mashed potatoes filled with sour cream, bacon, and cheese.

I don't normally eat this wild and crazy, but my wife, daughter, and son-in-law cooked it up for my birthday.

Happy Birthday Wally! :eusa_clap
And steak seared in the pan is a great birthday meal.
The only thing better, is steak seared in an iron skillet, in bacon grease. ;)

Cordon bleu...mashed potatoes..string green beans..Caesar salad..sweet iced tea.
Winter does not stop the good meals coming at Hoosier-house, ah? :wink:

Prime Rib with fries.
I'd say it's a good meal. :D

Am I late for the party?

Is there some leftovers? (I'm taking some cake, if there's any left) :hungry:

Happy birthday Wally
Dinner looked delicious. Blackeyed peas are a favorite of mine, and I'm not even from Oklahoma.

Yours looks delicious as well Stray Cat. In my house that tasty treat is known as holubki. There is a substantial Greek population in my city, though, and I'd call it sarma if I were trying to get it in a restaurant. :)
