How do you make Egyptian fried rice?

My husbands family are Greek Cypriots that lived in Egypt until the revolution in the 20's. I've learnt lots of delicious Greek & Egyptian recipes from them.

That's really neat! I've never had Egyptian food and gyros are the only Greek food I've ever had

I've had some great Greek food. Some is rich and spicey. My wife is not fond of it because of that. Some Greek salads are absolutely to die for..IMO. Even the fast food chain 'Gyro' has a great greek salad with sweet onions...spicey brown olives..and delicious olive oil dressing!

While I don't know much about Greek cuisine I do know that Greeks are damn good cooks. Most of my favorite places to eat are Greek-owned.

Just make sure you use authentic Greek Greece for cooking.
( I know..that was just gawdawful corny)

The book of Jewish Food. I bought this & my husband said that all the Sephardi recipes were what he ate as a child. Highly recommended.
Apricots on the Nile. It's a memoir with recipes, a lovely book.
