"The Leftovers" - Season Finale:

I still don't quite know what to make of this show but the finale was/is riveting as hell. The last stunt of the Guilty Remnant was a doozey. They wanted a reaction? Well they damn sure got one. Creepy, moody and VERY "Lost" like in its story telling. I'm not sure if this show will be back or not but if not, way to go out with a bang!

Yes, I have seen most episodes of "Call the Midwife." This series is so real! The characters are so convincing, as with many British actors and storylines. Indeed, I do watch the "Foyle's War" reruns, and "Downton Abbey" is a family favorite. I have all the boxed sets. I'm also really enjoying "Breathless" these days and looking forward to the Agatha Christie series. What ever happened to "Ripper Street?"
Have you watched "Call the Midwife" and (of course) "Downton Abbey" - two enjoyable period series set in Britain? "Call the Midwife" doesn't get as much press as "Downton" or "Mr Selfride" (or much press at all), but the stories are solid, the characters are well drawn out over many episodes and the period sets are gorgeous. Also, while I think it is over, "Foyle's War" was a fantastic series set in Britain during WWII.

The Strain on Demand. I am behind an episode or two, as with The Bridge, and Hell on Wheels.
:D

Just watched the most-recent "Hell on Wheels" episode. Very different form their usual fare - I found it interesting, but can't say I really enjoyed it.

I've seen one episode - the first one - of "The Bridge" and was underwhelmed. Does it get better? Is it worth staying with it?

I missed most of the first season of The Bridge, but I have enjoyed what I have seen to date of the second season.
I caught up on Hell on Wheels last night and although I was entertained, I was equally annoyed. I did not like the path this last episode took at all.

Glad you enjoy "Call the Midwife" as much as we do - that one doesn't seem to have as much of a following as some of the other quality shows have. Also, do you know if "Breathless" is being shown in the US yet - I couldn't find it on my cable system?

The last episode of The Good Guys.
I hate to see this only went one season.
Really a good 20 episode run, if you are interested in a cop show set in/around Dallas, with a bit of humor.

Ray Donovan. A series nobody seems to be talking about that is well above most that are already in the good lot. It would be a shame to see a quality program like this get canceled because it got no marketing at all.

I couldn't agree more. I'm curious about how it will play out, but I don't really see a satisfying resolution on the horizon.

They could have told that story in 20 minutes and then moved back to their regular programming. Also, while I'm sure it has happened sometime once, but in general, good luck surviving that vicious a bear attack in a pre-antiobotic, modern medicine world (despite the antiseptic aspects of the bark the Indian woman was using).
