Okay but the Targaryen blood is strong, there's not a HINT of blond in Jon or brown which the Starks are. Only black hair and that smells of Barratheon to me. But hey, you could be right. But caring for a child of rape... ehhh who's family you helped destroy? Hmmm.... could be.

You have a point about the Barratheon thing but Ned Stark told Robert that the name of Jon's mother was Wylla. This could have been an adaptation of Lyanna as she died in "a bed of blood." That could well have meant child birth gone wrong.
Then again, I can see the Barratheon reference concerning his looks. The Barratheon of the book is much taller, swarthy and fiercer than the one playing Stannis in Game of Thrones. More in keeping with the book than the TV show. In the book, Jon meets Stannis and is impressed by how much taller he is. In the TV show? Not so much.
