Charlie Chan in the Secret Service. Really short, but it was a good whodunit! Then the wife and I watched Doomed to Die, which was the first Boris Karloff flick either of us have seen. It was really good, as well. Both were on Netflix.

That was a good one. Charlie's son is a real "help." lol lol
Yeah. I love it when he fell off the ladder!

^^They were great together!
There was one movie in which Charlie Chan participated in one of the skits as well. It was hilarious. Too bad Hollywood PC of the time killed his career and he ended up dying broke and a broken man.:eusa_doh:
Hollywood PC of that time, or later on?
The Great Gatsby. In fact I'm sitting in the theatre waiting for it to start as I write this.
Where the Sidewalk Ends on TCM.
I can ruin the ending for you if you want.
I think that already happened back in English Lit class, old sport.
Gawd, I just can't get that expression out of my head!
Oh, man, one of my favorite Noirs. Dana Andrews is great in the role of the thug-hating detective who's trying to prove that he isn't cut from the same block of wood as his gangster father, only to discover that he really isn't that different. And Tierney's lovely in that film, even with shorter hair...
My first time viewing and I really enjoyed the street/city visuals. It is definitely worth watching again.
