well I don't know any songs with my name,
I know of a song called meisjes met rode haren (girls with red hair)
and I'm a red head myself so some people make fun of me when this is on

The Rolling Stones....Angie

Angie, Angie, when will those clouds all disappear?
Angie, Angie, where will it lead us from here?
With no loving in our souls and no money in our coats...
You can't say we're satisfied
But Angie, Angie, you can't say we never tried
Angie, you're beautiful, but ain't it time we said good-bye?

Rosemary

Well in "Scarborough Fair"
it says -
"Are you going to scarborough fair,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme."
but i think they're talking about the plant:rolleyes:

and in "Cell block tango" from Chicago it seems i have quite a reputationlol
MONA]
I loved Alvin Lipschitz
more than I can possibly say.
He was a real artistic guy...
sensitive... a painter.
But
He was always trying
to find himself.
He'd go out every night
looking for himself
and on the way
he found Ruth,
Gladys,
Rosemary and Irving.
I guess you can say we broke
up because of artistic differences.
He saw himself as alive
and I saw him dead.

and when i did a search i found
- Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" by the Edison Lighthouse (1970).
- Rosemary - Written by: Lenny Kravitz/Lisa Bonet

I've never heard a song with my name in it. Therése?

Well then, allow me to introduce you to Bernadette, by Vic Chesnutt:

I was shivering I'll admit it.
I had nothing better to do.
Except to wheeze my lazy wheeze.
"Bernadette where are you?"
She gets much acclamation
for such a self-ordained Faustian
Bernadette doesn't like doubters.
She wants to fight in the coliseum!
What can you tell me of Therese and Isabelle?
Was it just fate that brought them together
or did they will their usual union?
In cahoots or love or all of the above?
I was sputtering.
But I got over it after hours of tireless review
under the gracious and analytical hand
"Bernadette I honour you."
"Bernadette I love you some."

what about Lisa, any songs?

Well, there's "Lisa Says" by the Velvet Underground

But there's also a ditty from the tv show News Radio where a characters ex-boyfriend comes to town and she recites part of a song he wrote for her. It was something like this...

Come back Lisa
Little love killer
Come back Lisa
Lisa, Lisa Miller

Your last name isn't Miller is it?lol

Well that's more diplomatic. He used to play around Atlanta all the time before I escaped and moved North. Didn't I see him in Buffalo of all places. One of the worst performers, if not the, I've ever suffered through and I used to book acts so I've suffered through hundreds. He was a good guy, though.

I only ever knew of one. My mother spent my childhood singing it to me.

Denise Denise by Randy and the Rainbows (stop laughing)

but evidently there are more....although I have never heard -any- of them....

some group called Ace Troubleshooter has one called Denise

Porter Wagoner has one...called Denise Mayree.......scarily close to my middle name as well....

As does Fountains of Wayne....

Ozma

Montell Jordan

The New story

and Bands that people have actually -heard- of:

Blue Oyster Cult had a Debbie Denise...but that one only semi counts

Bob Dylan has a Denise song as well.

who knew!

I might actually have to go -hear- some of these

Well, there are a couple of classic rock and roll songs:

Chuck Berry -- Carol

and Neil Sedaka Oh, Carol. I heard the last song was written about Carol King.

Neither is spelled like my name nor any song that I know of unless someone has written a song about the late pope.

since I've never met or heard of anyone else with my name I miss out on this one. unless I have one written about me but that would be bad since the mister's an actor and you know how jealous they can be.

:rage:

this is what I get for being the fifth daughter of an artist. they ran out of normal names by kid #3
