I would really like to find the name of this song, but couldn't catch enough lyrics to make a coherent search on the interwebs. I know it is a decently well known song, but I can't put my finger on it.

You also get to watch me doing some mediocre dancing in a fantastic venue.

That is a really terrible recording with a lot of scat-singing and improv, or what sounds like it, anyway. Makes it almost impossible to pick out the song. The only lyrics I discerned was "born in Tennessee". Dunno if that helps any...

Yeah, that was what I found. The problem is that refrain, which clearly has no words. I am hoping someone recognizes it. I would post a better recording, but that is why I am asking. This was just a video of me dancing done with a little digital camera.

It's a great tune. I know that a lot of the New Orleans jazz is kind of obscure, there are tons of tunes that are super popular that never made it into official fake books. I'll keep an ear out for you though :]

I got a hopeful lead, with the lyrics by John Lee Hooker "Born in Mississippi, Raised in Tenessee." I figured that she might have changed words to be true. However, that turned out to be wrong. Bah.

I beleive the artists are Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns

Here is the singer's web site http://meschiyalake.com/ She also has a myspace page http://meschiyalake.com/

Her press kit http://web.me.com/russellwelch/Meschiya_Lake_Press_Kit/Cover_Page.html

Send her an email and ask for her playlist for the date you were there. I beleive she also performs with other bands as well.:)

I knew who it was, I was just trying to figure out the song. I guess sending an email is probably the best way. Thanks everyone.
