Nice. I love a good velour hat!!

A while back, I started a thread called How a Felt Hat is Made. Either in the first set of articles or the second, Stetson articles it discusses how hats are pulled out of the normal assembly line process to be turned into velour hats and they are processed differently. If you're interested, you just have to search until you run across this information. I'm thinking it might be in the Stetson articles but I'm not sure.
In either case, it's not going to be in one of the first pages, but at least several pages into it before they discuss velours.

On the menu today was an amaxing purple fedora from Lembert. Stumbled across this one a while ago. Love the colour and the finish. One of my favourite hats, despite its quite humble appearance, internally at least.

One of my favorite Open Roads this morning... A 3x I'm pretty sure is from 50s. Always a thrill to find a 70 some year old hat in this condition

Starting to cool a bit (again) here in Florida and I went with this Cavanagh today. I had been trying to get a hat from this retailer, for quite some time, and that it is as beautiful as this one, is a bonus.
