What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Optimo underwelt fedora in “Blue Pearl”

Thinking about letting this one go - a smidge heavy on the Chicagoland vibes for my taste these days maybe - what do you guys think?

My Steve Delk is beaver, my Herbert Johnson IJ Raiders is rabbit, both hats are nice hats, I really like my new IJ from Herbert Johnson's, Michelle does outstanding work, I should have ordered this Raiders in Beaver, the felts that they use for fedora hats at Herbert Johnson are FEPSA felts and worth every penny for their hats. You should see the youtube videos of Michelle shaping the IJ Raiders fedora hats, it looks like magic, a gentle touch and the felt takes shape.

I'm glad that hat isn't my size.

What is the felt weight? The color looks like the steel blue hat that I have on Ebay for sale, the one on Ebay is a 120 G weight rabbit, it is light weight, 3" wide brim.

Hey, no idea, but I’ll weigh it when I get home and report back

Thank you... it's difficult to get the color accurate on these green/gray hats. The selfie made the two colors look closer than they are. The blue/green in the other photos is truer.

This is so accurate. I buy both. That way when my browns are actually green, luckily the greens are usually brown.

Modern Stetson Sovereign today!!

Lookie here what showed up at my doorstep a few days ago... a "too cool for school" Stetson circa late 1920's. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em !

[MikeinRome]

Wearing the unknown Brand pre-War hat I just got back from the hat shop. It's one of those hats with 7 inch crown and 4 1/2 inch brim that I like so much.

That's my boy Amos...he's like a nosy old woman. Always gotta see what's going on !

[jeffgarf]

Got my Stetson P**yboy in wearing condition. Not sure if it was unlined and missing the crown patch or lined and missing the liner, but either way, that is a fun, lightweight hat to wear.
